Hello, hello! Lebaran holiday is finally over! How are you guys spent your holiday? was it good? I spent my holiday in Bangkok with my family and do some cosmetic shopping there. I bought some things that I can't find (or not yet) in Jakarta and this Laneige 2016 BB Cushion is what I've been waiting for! Couldn't buy in Jakarta yet and it was sold out in my favorite online shopping web so I grab it while in Bangkok!
The packaging is so lovely with those iridescent effect on some parts. The cushion case also looks more sophisticated and slim than the older one.
I pick the pore control one like my old version of Laneige. Actually Laneige BB Cushion is always been my favorite among all cushions out there and this new one claims it performs better and long lasting than the older one.
This new version also provides larger color range for cool tone & warm tone. Each tone has 4 colors and I choose no.13 Ivory neutral for cool tone. Actually my skin is in warm tone but whenever I use base makeup for warm tone, my skin looks so yellow-ish so I never try it again :/ also, I use no.21 since forever but somehow my skin is kinda changing and no.21 is a bit too dark & dull for me now :<
The box comes same as the older one—one cushion with refill, which I love. Another thing that I find lovely is because Laneige not only playing on their cushions' case to look different than the other cushions but the cushion itself also have different texture!
They also change the design of closer lid between the cushion and the cap. Speaking about the cap (where the cushion puff sits), I find the new one is more slick and nice because somehow my puff didn't 'sticky' to it like the older one.
Not only those things, I also find a slight difference with the puff. The new version's puff is more soft when you press it with finger but when I use it for application, the effect is not so different with the older one but remember the softness. You will feel it when you bump it on your face :)
Here are the appearance comparison between Laneige Pore control older and new version. The new case is slimmer slightly.
The puff also becomes smaller in the new one (forgive my dirty puff lol I didn't wash it yet since ran out of the cream). Good thing is, the new mirror can hold its position like whichever we want while the older one need to hold by our hand).

Now for the most important thing: formula. I find not much difference from the older one unless for its smell. The new version has its smell weaker (which is good for me), easy blend-able is still there but I don't quite happy with the covering power.
As you can see my before after picture (yes, my skin in so much trouble now thats one of my reasons to hold my urge to buy more cosmetics), the covering isn't so different with any other cushion though I find the older one is holding more power.
It is not that I don't love this cushion. I still love it despite the weaker covering power but I think it doesn't give a best yet because of the canvas. Because my skin is the problem one here. That's why other than covering power, everything is good. It is long lasting, semi-matt like what they claims to be and the color fits me nicely. Last thing I did for this condition is conceal! I put on concealer and voila! it looks good ;)
