Yay! My clothing line was finally launched since the start of this month. I actually couldn't find time to write here because of this clothing line. I quit my job in a company since last December and started preparing for EAVÉN after that. I didn't do this alone but with a friend of mine. At first we expected to launch this brand in March but delayed because we need more time to clean and preparing our (unexpected) studio for work, shopping for furniture and all and finally we got launch EAVÉN in this month <3
What is the meaning of "EAVÉN"?
Me and my partner were spent really much time in the middle of our work to find this name. We always being so meticulous for names lol. We need a name with great meaning if not excellent. We tried everything from existed words to non exist words, arranging words from moods like raining, cloudy, coffee and all, searching flowers' names and such and finally my partner got this from church while I was begging in my pray the night before lol.
So, basically EAVÉN came from old Irish with 'pleasant and beautiful radiance' as the meaning. Beside rhymes with heaven and haven, we also thought EAVÉN could be a combination of 'eve' and 'en', which can stands for consisting / made of eve (woman).
During preparing for this line, we did though that we need a place for us to work together because it is not efficient enough to work by ourself in our home. But it is not easy to have a workplace—easy if you have bunch of money but not with us. We need to save lot of money for production and advertising things.
But then, lucky enough, we have this best friend who have a very kind cousin, who willing to let us borrow his 4 stories building for our workplace! it was like a magic because just the day before, my best friend and my partner discussed where we could find a place with cheap rent and they asked each other jokingly, "is there any real rich people who willing to let us borrow their building??" and the next day we got the answer. Seriously this thing is really hard to believe lol. Borrow means we didn't need to pay for the rent! seriously who on earth could be that kind!? May you always filled with healthy and prosperous, uncle! xD
This best friend of us also helped being a photographer for EAVÉN lookbook & campaign. Having best friends who can help that much is really more than enough. Thank you! <3
