July 2015 JLPT

Hello there ! I have been taking Japan Language private lesson since last October. Frankly speaking, I never have a plan to taking Japan language course before because I obsessed with Korea more. I do love Japan since I was a child but (if am not wrong) at 13 years old (13 is still a child by the way lolol) I remember I got quite influence about Korean Pop from my cousins (H.O.T. era if you knew them) and since then I somehow gradually forgetting about Japan and didn't really put much attention into them beside their fashion (since I took fashion college anyway and talking about fashion is impossible to not including Japan). 13 years to around 19 years old is quite a long time right...but then again when Korea was starting to booming in Jakarta, strangely I was getting bored of it. Moreover since L'Arc was coming to Jakarta, all I could listen was their songs only lolol and little by little I got my grip back to Japan's culture, songs, language (basically everything). However somehow I find that liking every-korean-things is my routine and I kept searching for Korean Language class after I came back from Bali last May. I was searching every class that I could find from browsing and planning to directly come to the class for checking the lessons and stuffs but hufff~ instead finding many KRclass, I found more about JPclass. While the KRclass that I found are so far from my house and pricey, I could easily found some of JPclass that are not so pricey, although not really near but not that far and some of them took my interest to made me forgetting about KRclass. Maybe God wanted me to took this class instead! lolol. please forget my exaggerate.

So, last Sunday I was taking JLPT N5 grade in Darma Persada University, East Jakarta. Since my home is in West-that-so-close-to-Central Jakarta, that University is quite faraway. I already prepare myself to rise earlier for the long road but well, God was with me. The access was extremely easy! haha. and no traffic too! I found those as my lucky hint first in the morning lolol. However I already practiced for this test from my class like 1 month ago and already starting the next 2-3 lessons that are actually for N4 although it didn't really glued to my brain, those 3 lessons xD also practicing from last JLPT questions are helping so much! I answered all the questions from 2002 grammar, vocabulary and listening to found out that last Sunday test was pretty easy! lolol how arrogant I am ~ I lost 2-3 questions because of my very weak vocab though *sigh*

Anyway, I took a photo of what you'll get from registering process until what you need to bring on the day.

1. Those are a bundle of rules and information about time for the test. They tell you there will be a really-short break time between each test section. And a map of the place where you'll find your class (what building, number of class and what floor).
2. A guide to fill the registration form. There's some explanation about JLPT and some guide that I didn't really read thoroughly lol.
3. Registration form that given back after the test finish (you'll need this to check if you pass or not and to get your pass certificate later so make sure to bring that back)
4. Most important utensils during the test! Pencils (2B / HB is fine), high quality (lol) eraser, sharpener and watch is really important ! Either wrist-watch or table watch is fine just make sure it'll not let out some sound. I prefer my wrist watch though since the table is so small. If you wear wrist-watch like me, make sure that watch is have details point of minute not the blank one without minute/hour points so you'll be more accurate.

snapchatted during super short break time lol~
Since time really is important here, make sure you have quite a time to check your class in the morning before the test begin. JLPT always comes in the first week of certain month in SUNDAY and I suggest you to pass a party the day before lol. You need to rise early and have more than enough time to commute to the place and have a spare to class checking and having short review. Please excuse my over preparation since I'm A type lolol. Anyway for me, if I have much preparation, it'll become my strength to be more confident instead of just study. Study is important as well but if you come in last minute, panic and hurrying will just destroy the confident. Calmness and confident with what you already have is first point to win this test. Again, because I'm A type lolol.

JLPT comes 2 times in a year and I'm preparing for N4 now since the time is shorter than when I prepare for N5. Worst case is I need to re-take N5 if I fail *throw salt everywhere* Who's come with me for N4? or maybe some of you took N5 just like me last Sunday? Let's talking about it here~

Thanks for reading!
X
